The other night, I went out in a Canadian tuxedo. Do you know what that means? DENIM ON DENIM! I really don’t know why I did it, denim on denim is pretty weird. But I thought it was hilarious! I was laughing at myself the whole time.. I LOVED IT! I’ve decided that summer in your college town is just a whole lot of random! Last night, I went to the bar with friends and we all decided to wear weird t-shirts. Mook’s shirt was bright orange and said, “TUBBIES RULE” and I was wearing a Dale Earnhardt shirt that was too big for me. Why not? Live ya life! PS: I caved to trendiness and have been sporting the disco nail on both hands! Not going to lie, I feel FUN!

I just love this quote. And making GOLD graphics! I feel so inspired to CREATE and DESIGN after I texted my sweetest friend EKD the other day (and caught up on her blog!) During lunch in high school, we would sit in the art room, eat almond butter and jam sandwiches and get out all of our creative energy through painting and collaging. Those were the days! Anyway, we have decided to be creative pen pals and text each other a little creative thing everyday, such as an outfit, something design-like, the sunshine, etc! EKD used to mass text all our friends in the morning with the BEST inspirational words! I miss standing in line for Starbucks and having all our friends’ phones buzz at the same time, it was the best!

JORTS! Totally my new obsession of the summer.. especially since they were only $2.50 at Goodwill! INSANE! They are so comfortable and FUN to skip around town in! Pairing them with wedges, a white tank top and gold accessories makes them even more fun. WAIT, adding tart deco to the nails makes the look even better. This outfit totally reminds me of being in CALIFORNIA for the summer. Oh jeez, I’ve been missing the golden state so much as of late. That’s probably why I’ve been playing California Girls by The Beach Boys (my ringtone, naturally!), California Girls by Katy Perry, California English by Vampire Weekend, California by Phantom Planet (Ryan Atwood omg) and California Love by Tupac on repeat this whole sunny afternoon! Oh man, working in a boutique is REALLY hard when you love absolutely EVERYTHING! Check out this Julie Brown dress I had been eyeing for two weeks… and finally caved and bought! I seriously CAN NOT!
SUMMER porch living is actually BLISS! The only thing that would make it better would be a visit from Pearl. And maybe a really cute golden retriever to play fetch with!

GUESS WHAT? I’m on summer! REJOICE! Since classes ended last week, I’ve had so much more free time, which has resulted in sleeping in what I like to call the “starfish” (my body sprawled out across my bed), eating REALLY good food (homemade peanut noodles and Ceebs’ HUGE vegan chocolate cherry cake) and cleaning (EVERYTHING). I windexed all the little nooks and rearranged all my stuff (see above). It felt so good to organize LIFE! Also, to make summer even more official, I have switched over perfumes to Gucci’s Flora (yes, different seasons deserve new scents). Oooooooh it’s so floral and FLIRTY (hey Mook)!

WAIT! I am obsessed with this LA-based designer, Claire Vivier! HI! I am THISCLOSE of being done with my final project in my publication design class, which happens to be the best class I’ve taken thus far in my college career… mastering Adobe CS5 has been AMAZING! Especially since every job I look at requires proficiency in all things ADOBE. (I randomly job search on Craigslist to get a feel of what I need to accomplish this next year to apply to my dream jobs. Ya know, once I enter something called the REAL WORLD!) I am so happy with the outcome of my magazine, even though it has taken 30+ hours of my life away these past couple of days and I’m really dehydrated due to my increased coffee intake. BUT, here are a couple of pages to show you all and I’ll post the entire project soon!

Oh my goodness. The past two days have been dedicated to work, work, work! Wednesday is my last day of classes and I have SO many projects due in the meantime! This week on Instagram:

Mook and I celebrated two years of dating (time flies!) at The Farmhouse! I cheers-ed with a glass of rosé and Mook cheers-ed with a pint of my favorite beer. Loves!
I ordered the BEST veggie burger of all-time (topped with cheese and jalapeños) and Mook got a local beef burger that was equally as good! And of course, lots of fries dipped in lots of ketchup. Oh, and we also ordered freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that were delivered to my door later that night! Seriously genius.
It’s rainy and potentially snowy during this last full week of classes. Wellies!
PS: Mook got us tickets to go see the Red Sox play at Fenway! The time has finally come for me to rock my SF Giants hat in Boston while I witness Mook lock down into passionate Boston sports mode and yell aggressive baseball-related things for three hours. I seriously can’t wait!

Simply Bee has been one delicious looking food blog as of late! Tuesday at lunch, Kitty and I ventured out of the house to get smoothies. But smoothies turned into a quick bite to eat at our favorite brunch spot. What looks like odd piles of food are actually sides of the BEST TOFU SCRAMBLES EVER! I know, it sounds weird, but I promise you it’s one of my favorite foods in all of BTV… and that’s saying a lot! I got the peanut-ginger scramble and Kitty got the salsa ranchero scramble. Best part? It was only $3.75! Bow chicka wow wow!

Spring in Vermont has been really lovely for a number of reasons, but mostly because my friends and I get to eat on the porch when it’s still warm outside. Just like last night when we made a delicious salad full of avocado, tomatoes and onion and grilled homemade veggie burgers. Or on Sunday night when we made HUGE bowls of TWO kinds of pasta topped with all the vegetables in our refrigerator and *tomato sauce. Both meals were fully equipped with cold water in mason jars.
